PROCESS / PLAN BEFORE YOU NAIL

How a framing job runs.

A good frame is mostly decided before the lumber arrives. Here is the path from the drawings on your screen to the structure on your lot, including what we need from you at the start.

THE SIX STEPS

Plan it, order it, frame it, check it

The same order on every job. Some projects need all six steps in detail; others need a lighter touch.

  1. Send the plans and the address

Tell us where the project is and what it is. Drawings and engineering are shared by email after your inquiry.

  2. Get a same-day quote

With plans and a location in hand, you get a quote the same day. The estimate covers the framing scope, materials and any engineered wood the drawings call for.

  3. Sort the conflicts on paper

Where a project calls for it, we build a 3D structural model, review the layout, flag conflicts and pull quantity takeoffs, so problems are found at a desk instead of on a ladder.

  4. Line up the materials and the crane

Scheduling, material deliveries, crane logistics and trade coordination get planned before the first wall goes up.

  5. Frame it to the drawings

Floors, walls, roofs and sheathing go up to the approved drawings and the engineer’s specifications, built to Ontario Building Code requirements.

  6. Check it before the next trade

Quality checks run through the build, so what we hand over is something the next trade can work from.

What to have ready

You do not need a finished set of everything to start the conversation. These help us quote faster.

  • The project address, so we can confirm it is in our area

  • What you are building: an addition, a custom home, a basement, a garage or a structural change

  • Architectural drawings and any engineering, if you have them

  • Anything you already know about timing or access for materials and a crane

COORDINATION

One frame.
Many hands.

Framing sits between the drawings and nearly every trade that follows. We work with architects, engineers and permit drawings up front, and plan scheduling, materials, crane logistics and trade coordination so the structure goes up in the right order.

Where a project has engineered wood, such as LVLs and I-joists, we coordinate those members and their structural connections with the plans. Where it helps, a 3D structural model lets us review the layout and catch conflicts early.
